This is a limited fine art project documenting British rare and Native breeds through simple, natural light portrait sessions.
Each animal is photographed individually, with a focus on character, presence, and quiet detail, creating timeless portraits that feel honest and considered.
The aim is not volume, but storytelling. Each breed becomes it's own small study in personality and form.
How it works
- Limited number of spaces per breed
- Short, calm natural light sessions.
- Animal breed must feature on British rare breeds list.
- Designed to feel relaxed and low - pressure
- Sessions take place in a simple natural setup.
Participants are invited to take part in the project with a short portrait session.
Each session includes a small selection of images, with the option to upgrade to additional images and printed art work once the gallery is viewed.
Why this project exists
British native and rare breeds are deeply tied to landscape, history and heritage.
This project is a personal response to that - a way of slowing down and focusing on the individuality of each animal, rather than treating them as part of a wider scene.
Each portrait is created simply, allowing the subject to speak for itself.
Style & Experience
Sessions are kept calm and minimal, using natural light to create soft, honest portraits.
There is no heavy posing or pressure - just time, space and attention to detail.
Limited availability
Only a small number of sessions are available per breed.
Once a breed is fully photographed, it will not be repeated in this series.
